Job Description

Title: Quality Improvement Specialist (HEDIS)

Location: Remote- United States but must work

Duration: 4 months

Shift: 8am-5pm EST

Payrate: $22/hr on W2

Summary:

This employee will help with Risk projects, MCD VBP initiatives, and medical record retrieval. The purpose of our team is to drive care gap closure and help support initiatives that provide better outcomes for our members. Our team culture is collaborative, and seasoned. We encourage each other and communicate kindly and effectively with each other. The team relies on teams' messages to support each other. We do team huddles and collaboration calls. Key projects this team member will work on is Risk projects that continue year-round, as well as VBP measure initiatives for Medicaid including member outreach. I do not have any additional upcoming hiring needs at this time.

The typical workday would consist of pulling charts out of EMR's and conducting member outreach. This team member will be cross trained to help with different projects and initiatives. Performance metrics include the download of around 50 charts per day on average. The expectation is to communicate and ask questions when they arise. This role is unique because you will be dabbling in both HEDIS operations as well as Risk and member outreach. This role will help support member outreach initiatives to improve our MCD rates.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare, or Quality (including HEDIS measures or NCQA) OR equivalent experience in related healthcare experience.

Required:

  • Years of experience required: 2+ medical record review & member outreach
  • Additional qualities to look for: Strong communication skills, Can-do attitude, fast learner, positive attitude, experience reviewing medical records, attention to detail, tech savvy,

  • Supervisor positions/overqualified, position longevity (please state if contract AND IF COMPLETED),

Must-have:

  • Medical Record retrieval/ validation, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Excel (needs the basic excel knowledge), outlook, teams, word, one drive
  • Medical Terminology, tech savvy
