We're seeking a detail-oriented Grant Manager to lead the full lifecycle of federal grant administration-from application development through award implementation, financial monitoring, reporting, and closeout. This hybrid role (1 day onsite, 4 days remote per week) partners closely with program leadership, finance, procurement, contracts, and compliance teams to ensure grant activities remain compliant, well-documented, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Application Management

  • Lead and coordinate federal grant applications from funding opportunity review through submission.
  • Interpret application requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
  • Develop project timelines, manage documentation, and coordinate internal review processes.
  • Facilitate kickoff meetings, track deliverables, and ensure timely completion of all application components.
  • Coordinate budget development, budget justifications, and alignment with funding requirements.
  • Perform quality reviews and manage submission through required grant portals.

Post-Award Administration

  • Review award terms and translate funding requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Communicate budget guidelines, reporting requirements, and compliance expectations to program teams.
  • Coordinate post-award approvals, funding implementation activities, and required documentation.
  • Maintain organized records to support compliance and audit readiness.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Prepare and maintain expenditure reports, budget forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Monitor spending against approved budgets and identify potential variances.
  • Coordinate financial corrections and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Review purchasing documentation, invoices, and budget-related records as needed.

Reporting & Grant Closeout

  • Manage grant reporting calendars and ensure timely submission of programmatic and financial reports.
  • Compile performance and financial data in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate responses to funder inquiries and manage reporting revisions.
  • Lead grant closeout activities, ensuring complete documentation and audit-ready files.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as a key liaison among program leadership, finance, procurement, contracts, compliance, and funding agencies.
  • Lead recurring budget and grant status meetings.
  • Prepare meeting materials, document action items, and monitor follow-up activities.
  • Escalate compliance, budget, or timeline risks as appropriate.
  • Support administrative tasks including correspondence, approvals, and documentation requests.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in grant management, grant administration, budgeting, accounting, or contract management.
  • Knowledge of federal grant regulations, funding requirements, and reporting processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience preparing expenditure reports and budget analyses.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid schedule: 1 day onsite and 4 days remote per week
