Job Description

We are looking for a Full Time Scale Operator for our Metal Recycling Yard. The ideal candidate will be able to follow directions, learn our processes of operations, be a contributing member of a team and interact professionally with customers in person and on the phone.

Essential Functions :

Prepare and operate scales for daily use
Inspect customer’s cargo to guarantee it falls under acceptable items and material
Maintain inbound and outbound materials and weights
Provide professional customer interactions
Confidently handle cash transactions
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and climb
Social Media Content Management
Answer all phone calls and handle office duties and projects as requested
Record weight data and transaction details in the computer system
Work with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc)

Experience

Basic math skills are essential for accurately weighing products and cash handling
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate of $20 to $24 per hour

(Based on several factors which include: skillset, experience and current market data)

Hours:

Monday thru Friday
7:20 AM until 4:05 PM
Includes a half hour unpaid lunch
Optional Saturday shift
