Full-time | Philippines-based | Fully Remote | 6-hour AEST Overlap Required
We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong software engineering capabilities to help build, scale, and operate our platforms. In this role, you’ll work as part of a small, collaborative agile team, contributing primarily to development (around 80%) while supporting operational responsibilities (around 20%).
You’ll design and enhance platform capabilities, improve reliability, enable fast and secure deployments, and help elevate engineering practices across the organisation. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone passionate about automation and engineering.
Software Engineering Responsibilities
• Write and contribute code to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute unit tests and participate in peer reviews to maintain a high quality codebase.
• Collaborate closely within a small agile team to plan, deliver, and continuously improve.
Platform, Reliability & DevOps
• Ensure operational readiness of solutions, including performance, monitoring, reliability, and disaster recovery considerations.
• Contribute across design, development, automation, and operational support activities.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and automated releases.
• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and operational workflows.
• Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD and automation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Installs and Support teams to ensure platforms are production ready and well supported.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or Software Development roles.
• Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Hands on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working with virtualised, containerised, or distributed environments.
• Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
· Role based in the Philippines.
· Fully remote work allowed anywhere within the Philippines.
· Must maintain at least 6 hours of daily overlap with the Australian Eastern Time Zone (AEST/AEDT).
· Flexible work hours outside the required overlap.
